Framing Services

From a simple glass repair to full custom framing, we can do it all. Decorating the home with your art is your specialty. Helping you match it to the perfect frame is ours. In choosing mat and frame styles, we draw inspiration from the piece to be framed. The process is enhanced when the customer can provide additional details as to the individual décor, the color of the wall, the furniture, color accents, lighting and sun exposure. Keep these elements in mind and please feel free to bring in your home's color swatches or pictures along with your art. For art inspiration, browse through Artissance www.artthatfits.com and www.art.com.

Framed art is not always two dimensional. We have framed footballs, sport jerseys, puppets, dolls, fans, pins, purses, baby gowns and shoes, puzzles, needle-works, lace, model cars, war medals and even a cast of a pregnant belly. For a detailed look at our recent works, please check out the worlds best framing blog www.frugalframes.blogspot.com. Together, we can create a family heirloom that will properly protect and display your treasured pieces.

Framing is the conservation of your art and memorabilia. If it's worth framing to you, it's worth framing it right using acid free mats and conservation glass, which are our standard products. Acid materials will not only look dingy after a short period of time, they will also burn your art work. Exposing the art to light without the use of UV glass will fade the colors: reds turn crimson, greens turn teal, blacks turn gray. We offer the latest in conservation materials and techniques to all art pieces, all at reasonable prices. For the art that has been damaged, we can recommend paper and photo restoration services.

As for the frame, we only deal with wood and metal frames because plastic, composite and chipboard frames break and “aren't worth the paper they are printed on.” Check out the links to www.larsonjuhl.com and www.omegamoulding.com for a sample of our frame selections.

So, what's the price? In an “apples to apples” comparison, we beat the competition for custom framing living up to our name. (But please do not call and ask to speak to Mr. Frugal.) We offer better price points on frames, prices for mat and glass reflect quality products and we do not nickel and dime you with fitting charges.

The proper design, however, is priceless. Luckily, its also free, but only available at our frame stores. The final product has to be timeless in style so that is looks great not only when you pick it up, but 50 years down the road. You would not believe how many times customers have come in with a plastic coated silver frame on a pink and teal mat combination (done in the 80's) and said, “What were we thinking?”

Bottom line is we offer a Great Design and Museum Quality Framing at Reasonable Prices.
